Spark and Echo Arts is creating or commissioning a work of art, music, theatre, poetry, dance, theatre, or film in response to every passage of the Bible. Our artists have created works in response to over 4,000 verses to date. The non-profit was founded in NYC by my wife Emily Clare Zempel and me in 2010 with the goal of creating a living collection of art across disciplines that captures the depth, power, and relevance of Scripture. I now serve as the board president. The leadership team, staff, and curators commission high-caliber artists from diverse backgrounds and showcase their work in an online gallery woven into Scripture.
