Jonathon MT Roberts is a sound designer and composer for fiction podcasts, games, and theatre. His speciality is using audio to distill complex concepts, create worlds, and bring stories to life for legendary creators. He currently serves as the supervising sound designer and mixer for DC High Volume: Batman from DC and Realm, a weekly audio series adapting influential DC graphic novels. Previously, as the audio production lead for scripted podcasts at Spotify, he led post-production audio teams, sound designed, and mixed on multiple #1 shows. Working with executive director Mimi O’Donnell, projects include Case 63 (Julianne Moore and Oscar Isaac), Quiet Part Loud (with Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions), The Two Princes, Motherhacker, Chompers, and Story Pirates.
He also created the ComposerDad podcast, founded NYC arts nonprofit Spark and Echo Arts, released several albums of music, toured the US with a solo theatre show, played in an iconic NYC absurdist comedy band, and collaborates with his wife, accomplished actor and theater-maker Emily Clare Zempel, on music and theater projects. He lives New York’s Hudson Valley.
